NEW TEACHING SERIES BEGINS SUNDAY, JANUARY 11!
Nothing is more foundational to faith in Christ than the Bible. Among other things, it reveals the character of God, the nature of the world, the clearest picture of people flourishing, and even the reason for being for human beings.

It is the most widely circulated book in the history of humanity. Yet God’s Word is also the most maligned, misappropriated, misinterpreted, and misunderstood text ever. For these reasons and more, Lake Hills Church is launching a new teaching series, The Bible: How We Got It and Why It Matters, tailored to equip and encourage Christ-followers and to answer and engage skeptics alike. Join us for a special Sunday as we come together for one service at 11:00AM. We’ll enjoy an extended time of worship, engage in a meaningful prayer moment led by Pastor Mac, share communion, and hear an inspiring message from Julie Richard. It’s a powerful way to close out the year together!

As part of the morning service at 11:00AM on December 28, we will take a moment to remember the sacrifice of Jesus - His broken body and shed blood - by participating in communion. Everyone is welcome at the service, and those who have entered into a relationship with Jesus are invited to join in communion. We look forward to this time of reflection and remembrance as we follow Jesus’ words to “do this in remembrance of Him” (Luke 22:19).

The Super Sweet Sunday fun starts early for Lake Hills Kids on Sunday, October 26 at 9:15AM + 11:00AM. Kids are encouraged to wear their costumes to church! We've got some extra special and oh-so-sweet services planned! Your kids will play games, sing their hearts out, score cool prizes, absorb an incredible Bible lesson, and leave with pockets full of sweet treats.

FOR KIDS + PARENTS
Kids have a knack for asking BIG questions about faith. We would love to help answer those questions! Whether you’re looking for backup on a specific faith topic or seeking general guidance on helping to disciple your child, Kid Faith Convos are designed to resource you.

These convos are held in a small group setting where Pastor Andrew and child + parents will go over the ABC’s of following Jesus and talk about baptism. Our next Sunday convo will take place on October 19 at 12:30 in the Kids Building. We hope to see you there!

We’re excited to welcome Bethany Hamilton to Lake Hills Church! Bethany is a professional surfer and author who has inspired millions with her story of faith and resilience after surviving a 2003 shark attack. She shared her journey in her book Soul Surfer, which was later made into a major film. Bethany will be sharing how her faith has carried her through life’s challenges and continues to shape her story. The TALK is a casual seminar for parents of adolescents and their preteens to attend together. The Talk is given by Dr. Alyson Denson, a board-certified pediatrician and mother of four young adult children. She combines both her professional and home experience to give clear explanations and practical and realistic tips for thriving in this turbulent phase of development. The TALK is geared for boys and girls in grades 4-6. 

The TALK is divided into 3 sections:

1. Teen health with a concentration on physical, mental, and spiritual health

2. Relationships between parents and their children

3. Puberty and sex, focusing on God’s plan versus the world’s messaging
